this piece actually went quite fast and when i look back i should have expected it to since it's just a render. although i did spend some time redrawing other than that the rest is work done by kiyotaka haimura, one of my favourite Artists!
the main goal was to create a long running avatar for me by using anime style colouring to create a smaller amount of detail to coincide with the usually small avatar requirements. the jacket mainly uses a barrage of filter affects and adjustments while the rest is done by hand. personally i think this is one of my best avatars yet because it actually reflects a little bit of me (or who i think i am), not that I'm a tattooed smoking priest but it's just stiyl's character that reminds me of.. well me.
on another note have you ever wondered why i number these projects? well have you looked at kiyotakas art? you'll notice that he has a great improvement from his work from 2006 to today, and i would like to show that i am doing the same. sure my work may be absolutely horrendous at times but if you look back you'll see that i've done worse and that in comparison this ones pretty good.
joining college now, don't know if i'll have much time to work on these. so expect slow updates.
P.S. his eyes were kinda.. well i couldn't make heads or tails out of them so just try not to look him in the eye
